Configure Resources 

Resources are your drivers or your employees. As an optional feature, assigning resources to assets will allow you to view which resource was assigned to which Asset and for how long. This is important for reporting purposes and rule notification alerts.

 

To configure Resources, you will need to both add Resource Types and then define Resources Records. 

 

 

 

Resource Types are used to categorize each of your Resource Records into groups. These categories are helpful for reporting purposes, filtering information and creating rules.
 

Steps:
  1. From the Tracking screen, click the Menu Bar icon on the top left-hand corner to access then Navigation Panel

  2. Click the Manage menu item

  3. Click the Resources submenu item

  4. Select Resource Type

  5. Click the Add button

  6. Type the Description for the Resource type

 General Tab 

Steps:
  1. From the Tracking screen, click the Menu Bar icon on the top left-hand corner to access then Navigation Panel

  2. Click the Manage menu item

  3. Click the Resources submenu item

  4. Select Resources

  5. Type the Name of the Resource

  6. Optionally, type the resource’s Phone Number and/or Email Address

  7. From the Resource Type drop-down menu, select the Resource Type for this resource

  8. From the Language drop-down menu, select the preferred language for the resource

  9. From the Unit of Measurement drop-down menu, select the preferred units of measurement for the resource

  10. The Assigned Asset field is a read-only field. It will display the Assigned Asset name for this Resource record

  11. From the Work Schedule drop-down menu, select a Work Schedule if anything other than the default 24/7

  12. If using a Driver ID solution, type the Driver ID number

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Applications Tab 

The Applications tab offers a list of additional products to grant permission to the Resource such as Task Tracker, BigRoad or Mechanics Portal and Inspect.

 

  1. In the Application tab, Select the product checkboxes, as required

  2. Click the Save button
